Multipass Tutorial - Step 14

Here we attach to the pass body one of the little surface detail pieces, the one I like to call "the bullet".

Start with the bullet, and as needed, sand away any melted plastic along the edges. If there are any blemishes or whatever that you want to get rid of, now would be the time to do it.

The technique I like to use in this step is to stab the bullet lightly with the x-acto so that it sticks to it. This allows you to position it with some precision onto the body.

I took this photo a little out of order, but you get the idea here. While the bullet strip is on your x-acto, get some glue onto the opposite side. Then just plop it into position on the pass, press into place, and you're done.

You can eyeball the bullet position based on this photo. So far, we are looking really good. The basic assembly of a static multipass is now complete.

For reference, here's what the back looks like at this point. We haven't done anything to the back side recently, I just wanted to put this photo after the one of the front "as is" photo above. It's really coming together now!!
